Why Is Beauty Wellness Trending?

Why Is Beauty Wellness Trending?

Beauty Wellness – a term that has become increasingly popular but why is it such a trend? Over the last couple of years, the perception of beauty has shifted where looking healthy is more important than looking glamourous. And being healthy helps us not only feel our best but look our best too. Beauty and wellness have blended so that we can be the healthiest and best version of ourselves.

It’s easy to see how something like skincare is part of wellness, but these days all of beauty really fits into the wellness category. The definition of wellness has changed over the years to not only include physical wellness, but mental wellness too. And beauty products do tend to make us feel good. Take fragrance for example, a scent can lift a mood while a new lipstick or a blow-out can make you feel confident - all great for our mental wellness. So beauty is a big part of wellness, not only helping to build confidence and self-esteem but in the new global environment, helping us look and feel healthy too.

Studies have shown that consumers care deeply about wellness and that their interest is growing. In a recent survey of approximately 7,500 people across six countries, 79% of the respondents said they believe that wellness is important and 42% consider it a top priority. And in every market, there was a substantial increase in prioritizing wellness over the last several years.

Beauty, health, and wellness are converging in meaningful ways. We are becoming more and more aware that beauty really is more than skin deep. And it’s not only about who we are on the inside but also how we feel. When we feel good and healthy, that is when we look our best. And when we look our best, we tend to feel our best. It really is a full circle – health and beauty are interconnected and have become this new trend of beauty wellness where we look at beauty in a more holistic way.

Beauty products that work with our health goals, like getting enough sleep and reducing inflammation, are on the rise. People are seeking products that complement their beauty and wellness needs, hoping to look and feel their best without a lot of extra effort. Beauty ingestibles are a great example.

Considered fringe and barely talked about 10 years ago, today the ingestible beauty business accounts for more than $3 billion in sales worldwide and is expected to grow to over $8 billion by 2030. Beauty ingestibles are easy to add to an existing lifestyle and provide supplements that the body needs to treat specific areas of concern like the skin or hair from the inside out. Take Glotrition’s Super Beauty Elixir for example. The ultimate beauty drink, it feeds the skin from the inside out, leaving skin truly nourished. With a patented collagen peptide that has been clinically shown to increase skin firmness and reduce wrinkle depth in 30 days by spurring new collagen growth, it also provides Hyaluronic Acid, Biotin, Vitamin C, and a targeted blend of powerful antioxidants help to nourish skin cells and protect collagen fibers.

The realization that we can be our most beautiful selves when we are our most healthy selves is the key driver behind the Beauty Wellness trend. When we focus on our own wellness which includes exercise, getting enough sleep, staying hydrated and properly nourishing the body, the result is a thriving, healthier and younger-looking you!
